I cannot believe it has been almost three years since I posted last. OMG, where does time go??? My life has been busy, empty and finally full. So much has happened.
For starters, my oldest son graduated from the Naval Academy. He is currently stationed in King's Bay, Georgia. He is engaged to be married to a lovely young lady. I am finally going to be blessed with the daughter I never had.
My youngest son graduated from high school and is currently a freshman at UNT in Denton. He started a part time job this week. He had a pretty wild first semester but has settled down and is making good grades and proving to be pretty awesome young man.
My marriage of 20 years ended...It wasn't unexpected. We both knew that it was inevitable. Ours was a union that never should have been. But we managed to raise two wonderful young men and basically I would not have missed that for the world. We remain friends. Really better friends than we were when we were married.
After being alone for a little over a year I have started seeing someone. He is ten years older than me but manages to run circles around me. I am probably more spoiled than I have been my entire life! Truly something I never saw coming. I don't know where it will go. We may just always be really good friends and nothing more. But for right now I am blissfully happy.
I guess it really is true. Life is something that happens when we aren't looking.
Hopefully it won't be forever before I visit here again. But, I can't make any promises...
